The production includes extensive aerial photography of the area and features the history, architecture, planning and community life of Hampstead Garden Suburb over 70 years. Much of the appeal of this confusing but fascinating amateur film is a gloriously camp performance by its writer, Evelyn Waugh. Filming took place at Hampstead Heath, Golders Green, and the Waugh family's Hampstead back garden in the summer of 1924. Evelyn Waugh was confirmed at St Jude's in 1916.
